Weighing in a 99 pounds and with dimensions of 22.1” x 20.0” x 17.0” it is absolutely a contender in this match. It’s also extremely fast– especially in comparison to the other two. It prints at a speedy 47 pages per minute and still maintains about 37 pagers per minute even when using its automatic two-sided printing duplexer that some standard on the Dell 5130cdn. Even with the fast speeds, this printer offers 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution giving you clear and crisp prints while maintaining an environmentally conscious design. Dell also has recycling programs for used Dell toner cartridges and includes power saving technology.

This printer is awesomely fast, but if you want the most of out it, upgrades are going to be necessary. Wireless does not come standard and must be purchased in order to have cordless capabilities. This unit only comes standard with an input tray for about 150 sheets—not very much. You can upgrade this tiny number thought to an impressive 2900-sheet combination of trays. Standard memory is decent at 256 MB but you are going to want to yet again make the upgrade to the available 1024MB. To its fault, the Dell 5130cdn is only compatible with Windows and Linux and not with Mac.

However, you can expand it up to 600 pages and it does have a standard 500-sheet output bin allowing for bigger projects without the necessity of user interruption. Wireless isn’t an option either with this printer and you will have to stick with the Ethernet connection available.
